Penn Machinery</p> <p>NOW HIRING</p> <p>Receptionist</p> <p>Bronx, NY</p> <p>Pay: $20-$24/hour (dependent on experience)</p> <p>Bonus: 5% bonus potential</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical/dental/vision insurance </li><li>401(k) with company match </li><li>Paid time off & company holidays </li></ul> <p>Key qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to multitask & be highly organized with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strong interpersonal and organizational skills </li><li>Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) </li><li>Previous reception, customer service, and/or office experience required </li><li>Experience with cash report balancing preferred </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Ensure customer and guest satisfaction</p> <ul> <li>Operate telephone system to properly route all incoming calls to the appropriate individuals or departments </li><li>Promote branch relations by greeting visitors and announcing arrivals to departments in a friendly and professional manner </li><li>When appropriate, direct visitors to the appropriate person, office, or department </li><li>Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures) </li></ul> <p>Facilitate branch operations</p> <ul> <li>Process interoffice and regular mail in a timely manner </li><li>Coordinate delivery of correspondence by receiving and distributing items from courier service </li><li>Report system or phone line problems </li><li>Operate and maintain office equipment at reception area </li><li>Assist other departments with various reports </li></ul> <p>Accurately and efficiently perform various Parts Department functions</p> <ul> <li>Prepare bank deposits </li><li>Process stock order paperwork when required </li><li>Process customer quotes/parts orders when part numbers are available </li><li>Assist in other billing clerk functions when required </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to multitask & be highly organized with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal and organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)</p> </li><li> <p>Previous reception, customer service, and/or office experience highly preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with cash report balancing preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Sitting for prolonged periods </li><li>Hand coordination (typing and writing) and reaching </li><li>Occasional standing and forward bending </li><li>Occasional walking and climbing stairs </li><li>Carrying (up to 20lbs.) </li></ul> <p>Reasonable accommodations made as needed.</p> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender or gender status, disability, genetic information, otherwise qualified disabled or veteran status, or any other protected class as designated by Federal, State and/or local law.</p>
