<p>Senior Chemist Division Belmar Pharma Solutions Category Pharmaceutical Description</p> <p>This position is responsible for performing quality control laboratory testing for incoming, in-process and finished products and assisting in laboratory operations. The focus of the position is compliance with regulatory activities and company procedures as they relate to the laboratory department.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and conduct analytical testing per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements including potency, container closure integrity, material identification, particulate and dissolution. </li><li>Purchase analytical chemistry equipment and consumables to support chemistry laboratory operations. </li><li>Maintain daily use, maintenance and cleaning logs for laboratory areas, equipment and utensils. </li><li>Complete routine preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy of results. </li><li>Prepare Certificates of Analysis for Quality review. </li><li>Perform data entry, trending and record organization. </li><li>Support in drafting and reviewing procedures, change controls, risk assessments, deviations and CAPA. </li><li>Design and conduct test method and equipment validations. </li><li>Ensure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Education Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in chemistry is preferred or equivalent experience in the field. </li><li>Five years experience operating analytical laboratory equipment including UPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, CCIT, and Dissolution </li><li>Experience in a cGMP-compliant facility </li><li>Use good documentation skills/organizational skills to record lab procedures and results. </li><li>Critical thinking and decision-making skills to consider the strength and weakness of an assay. </li><li>General knowledge of qualitative and quantitative chemistry and mathematics principles. </li><li>Occupational hazards and standard safety practices. </li><li>Familiarity with compendial testing and regulatory guidance. </li></ul> <p>Additional Notes</p> <ul> <li>Be able to work in a variety of positions and locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and walking, for prolonged periods of time </li><li>Exposure to chemicals used in during assay preparation (special safety precautions must be taken when working with these chemicals) </li><li>Must be able to use necessary equipment such as computers, scanners, or other technology devices as assigned </li><li>Must be able to wear required PPE for long periods of time when required </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $105,000 - $118,000</p> <p>Position Requirements Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Shift Days User5 Position Pay Range $105,000 - $118,000 City and State Position Senior Chemist Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Open Date 2/9/2026 Location Belmar Labs EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
