<p>ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND PAYROLL COORDINATOR</p> <p>SALARY RANGE, $50k-$60k/YEAR, BENEFIT ELIGIBLE</p> <p>The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.</p> <p>Position Description: Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School District is looking for an organized, detail oriented, positive, Accounts Payable and Payroll Coordinator to work within our Business Office. The Accounts Payable and Payroll Coordinator is expected to work under general supervision with the ability to multitask and stay calm and professional in a fast paced and busy work environment. Potential applicants should have knowledge of office procedures; excellent computer and writing skills with Microsoft Office experience; customer service skills; ability to interact kindly and professionally with coworkers and vendors; accounting, purchasing, and bookkeeping skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; and the ability to multitask.</p> <p>Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Must have two to four years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Payroll, excellent computer knowledge, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs. Experience utilizing general ledger software and/or payroll processing software is preferred.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities: Performs the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that District finances are maintained in an effective, up-to-date and accurate manner; Receives and verifies invoices for goods and services; Verifies that transactions comply with financial related policies and procedures; Updates vendor files, files names and W-9's; generate and administer 1099s; Prepares batches of invoices for warrant payment data entry, schedule and prepare checks; prepares purchase orders; resolves purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; issues purchase order amendments; Prepares all invoicing for the District using QuickBooks and records payment of invoices in the District's general ledger software; Completes bi-weekly payroll function in order to ensure staff are paid in an accurate and timely manner; review and enter time-sheets in the system for wage computation; detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies; verify pay amounts, hours worked, deductions, etc.; Processes and tracks wage garnishments, dues, voluntary and involuntary deductions and other payroll related items affecting a paycheck; Reviews required federal government forms, payments and reports regarding withholding and social security, including quarterly and yearly reports, 941 and W-2s; Orients and enrolls employees in benefits and maintains corresponding records in compliance with federal and state laws and district policies; Ensures confidentiality and security of all financial, employee, and medical files; Completes employment verification and requests for salary and benefit information as needed; Maintains or destroys records according to record retention laws; Provides supporting documentation for annual audits; Makes recommendations for improvements to accounts payable and payroll procedures; Performs a variety of related duties;</p> <p>Salary: To be discussed</p> <p>Anticipated Start Date: August 2025</p> <p>Application Process: Candidates must submit a complete application on schoolspring.com. and include the following:</p> <p>Letter of Introduction Current resume Three letters of recommendation</p> <p>LETTERS OF APPLICATION ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO:</p> <p>Sarah Griffith, Business Manager Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School District 476 North Avenue Rochester, MA 02770</p> <p>Cori Form and Fingerprinting Required Upon Hire.</p> <p>Position open until filled.</p> <p>Anticipated Start Date: August 2025</p> <ul> <li>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER- </li></ul>
