<p>Description</p> <p>North American Specialty Lamination (NASL) is seeking a Production Supervisor position for our Sparks, NV location. We are looking for someone eager to grow with our team. While this position starts as a Production Supervisor, there is an opportunity for advancement to a Plant Manager role depending on performance and business needs.</p> <p>This position serves as liaison between the lamination staff and the Plant Manager to ensure the scheduled production is in compliance with the master schedule, customer quality specifications and corporate safety policies. The Supervisor revises that all the necessary resources are available to effectively complete work directives and resolve issues that threaten productivity and safety.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to,</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a progressive and safe work environment for employees. </li><li>Develop staff through identification and execution of training initiatives. </li><li>Resolve employee issues and ensure compliance with corporate policy. </li><li>Maintain good housekeeping in the plant and the warehouse and ensure housekeeping policies are followed. </li><li>Perform employee evaluations and issue corrective actions to staff for unacceptable behavior. </li><li>Communicate production problems to relevant staff and employees and work to resolve issues to maintain compliance with schedule and customer quality specifications. </li><li>Set up work cells for an efficient and cost-effective flow of product. </li><li>Oversee operations to ensure company is meeting production goals and provide direction for instances in which goals are behind anticipated progress. </li><li>Communicates with staff about the daily production expectations per company schedule. </li><li>Ensures quality standards by monitoring production output and comparing it to quality standards. In instances when production output is not meeting standards, decide on a corrective action plan. </li><li>Hold all direct reports accountable for production and quality standards. </li><li>Approves employees schedule and timecards including approving and planning for employee time-off requests. </li><li>Support the company policies and corporate strategic goals. </li><li>May perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education and experience</p> <p>High School or GED Degree required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience.</p> <p>The ability to communicate clearly using written, verbal and electronic communication.</p> <p>3-5 Years working in related field of production or supervisory management.</p> <p>Technical experience</p> <p>An understanding of how to motivate employees.</p> <p>The ability to schedule and direct employees to perform efficiently and cost-effectively.</p> <p>A functional knowledge of production equipment specific to the industry and organization preferred.</p> <p>Mechanical skills.</p> <p>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</p> <p>Salary is based on proven experience and skills. The salary range is $60,000 - $75,000.</p>
