<p>Job Summary: The Student Life Assistant Coordinator is a 12-month position (with optional live-in housing) within the Student Development Office. This role supports the goals of the Student Life Office and Associated Student Government (ASG) by fostering campus engagement and coordinating activities that align with the university's mission - particularly the development of a Christ-like community. This position assist in planning and implementing student activities, Nazarene events, signature weekends, and student leadership initiatives. Essential Functions: Support for Associated Student Government (ASG) Meet weekly with the Director of Student Life Attend weekly ASG Executive Cabinet meetings Attend monthly all-student ASG meetings Provide daily office coverage, Monday-Friday from 11:00am to 1:00pm Support ASG student leaders in planning and executing campus activities and events Provide supervision and oversight for intramural activities, as assigned Assist in planning and executing university-hosted denominational student events Manage and maintain MNU Products' equipment and storage inventory Oversee the MNU app, including data collection, student feedback, and surveys. Spiritual Direction and Student Development Attend chapel services and assist as needed Lead one small group annually Provide devotional content and team development opportunities for ASG Serve as liaison for Passion to Serve projects at Havencroft Elementary involving ASG Coordinate service opportunities for ASG and the broader campus community Explore and implement a "random acts of kindness" initiative once per semester Support for Commuter Students Assist the Executive Secretary/Community Liaison student position with outreach and event planning Build relationships with commuter students to assess needs and provide support Serve as a primary point of contact for commuter student engagement and care Others duties may be assigned by the Director of Student Life or Vice President of Student Development</p> <p>Qualifications/Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of student development theory and its application in a campus setting </li><li>Strong interpersonal, relational, and conflict management skills </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith </li><li>Ability to build inclusive, respectful relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required </li><li>Experience in student leadership preferred </li></ul> <p>Application: To apply for this position, attach the following documentation to your application:</p> <ul> <li>Resume </li><li>Cover Letter </li><li>Personal Statement of Faith - see below </li></ul> <p>Questions regarding the application process or have trouble uploading additional documents, you can reach out to Abigail Harris, HR Generalist, at abrubaker@mnu.edu.
