<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Full and Part-time positions available on our following units:</p> <p>Birth Center/Mother Baby</p> <p>Cardiac and Renal</p> <p>Emergency Department</p> <p>Heart and Vascular</p> <p>ICU - Intensive Care Unit</p> <p>Neurology</p> <p>Oncology Bariatrics</p> <p>Ortho Trauma</p> <p>PMU Psych Med Unit</p> <p>Procedural Services/PACU</p> <p>Senior Adult Unit/Geriatrics</p> <p>Staffing Center/Float Pool</p> <p>No Experience Needed, with Full & Part Time Positions.</p> <p>The PCA Trainee Program Description:</p> <ul> <li>The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) Training Program is a 3 Day, work-based learning experience that prepares individuals for a nursing support role and a nursing career pathway. </li><li>This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to take a CNA course and not had the ability to due to schedules, financial investment, etc. No experience required.The program combines onsite classroom instruction, hands-on practice and on-the-job training. </li></ul> <p>What Patient Care Assistant, PCA will do:</p> <ul> <li>Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding </li><li>Obtaining vital signs from patient </li><li>Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene including showers, oral hygiene and dressing/undressing </li><li>Transports patients as needed for procedures, transfers or discharge </li><li>Maintains a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms </li><li>Observes patient's condition and progress (or lack of progress) toward defined outcomes, in collaboration with the RN. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What Patient Care Assistant Trainee will need:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent </li><li>BCLS certification obtained within one week of hire. </li><li>Well developed communication skills, both written and oral </li><li>Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing divers perspectives </li><li>Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization </li><li>Delivers patient care based on standards of care, standards of practice, and policies and procedures in collaboration with the RN. </li></ul> <p>Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Magnet designated facility with active shared decision making councils.?
