<p>Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology, the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry, currently has an opening for Workshop Supervisor in Brier Hill, PA!</p> <p>As the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision of workshop employees to ensure that all work is completed in compliance with Company quality and safety standards, Company values, and current Company policies and procedures. This includes overseeing work orders and shop jobs to ensure successful completion, as well as, ensuring workshop personnel complete accurate requisitions as required for work orders, and assigned duties to meet operational requirements and delivery dates.</p> <p>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Participate as part of the workshop team to implement initiatives as defined by the Workshop Manager </li><li>Respond to customer inquiries on work order status </li><li>Ensure conformance to company quality standards </li><li>Monitor job cost and provides feedback to appropriate personnel </li><li>Notify manager of any significant deviations from planned work </li><li>Coach, motivate, train, evaluate and lead team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the workshop </li><li>Manage the performance and ensure compliance with company policies for all workshop personnel under their direction </li><li>Participate in workshop and personnel scheduling and monitor and approves </li><li>attendance and work hours </li><li>Comply with SMR safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements </li></ul> <p>EXPEREINCE</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 7 years of experience with mining industry specific equipment, preferably underground or surface mining equipment. </li><li>Experience with business management and lean management </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>You possess a technical diploma or certification in a mechanical or electrical discipline </li><li>Lean/Six Sigma certifications would be a plus </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>You are extremely organized with highly developed time management an organizational skills. </li><li>You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>You are customer focused and can provide superior customer service to internal and external customers. </li><li>You are flexible and self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative. </li><li>You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
