<p>Your Impact</p> <p>As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist at Appvion, you will be the driving force behind building and sustaining a proactive safety culture across our Appleton campus. This is your opportunity to combine your EHS expertise with hands-on leadership to make a measurable impact every day.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure OSHA compliance, minimize risk, and reduce workplace incidents. </li><li>Provide on-site safety leadership, coaching, and training for research labs, corporate offices, and production areas. </li><li>Administer and maintain the Safety Management System, track performance metrics, and conduct incident investigations with root cause analysis. </li><li>Serve as Chemical Hygiene Officer, maintaining and improving the chemical hygiene plan while coordinating compliance under ISO 14001:2015. </li><li>Conduct audits, identify hazards, and recommend facility or process improvements to enhance safety. </li><li>Promote employee engagement through visible leadership, safety communications, and hands-on participation in safety initiatives. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) or related field. </li><li>Minimum 2 years' experience developing and implementing safety programs (manufacturing environment preferred). </li><li>Proven ability to influence, lead, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable delivering training to diverse audiences. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with safety data systems preferred. </li><li>Solid working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements </li></ul> <p>Who We Are</p> <p>Appvion is North America's leader in high-performance, sustainable specialty coatings for thermal paper, labels, and films.
