Oversees the clinical program and coordinates individual pharmacists in performance of these duties.</p> <p>Oversees the financial success of the established programs.</p> <p>Facilitates the development and implementation of treatment guidelines, protocols, formulary changes, and critical pathways as approved by appropriate committees.</p> <p>Facilitates the identification, resolution, implementation, and communication of cost-effective medication use issues in collaboration with the medical staff.</p> <p>Supports the pharmacy's economic efforts.</p> <p>Provides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners. Suggests appropriate cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical staff as needed.</p> <p>Conduct educational programs for the pharmacy, medical and nursing staff on pharmaceutical care and drug therapy.</p> <p>Trains and assesses clinical competency of pharmacy personnel and direct oversight of daily activities.</p> <p>Publishes a newsletter for physicians, pharmacy, and other health professionals.</p> <p>Oversees the preparation of drug reviews, MUE criteria, antibiotic sensitivity data, adverse drug reactions, and medication error reporting.</p> <p>Serves on Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and other related committees.</p> <p>Precepts pharmacy students</p> <p>Assist in preparation and implementation of facility policy and procedures as needed</p> <p>Manage, plan, organize and evaluate the staff and activities of clinical pharmacy services.</p> <p>Assist the Director of Pharmacy with the development of new and maintenance of existing clinical pharmacy programs</p> <p>Provides Project Management and appropriate delegation of responsibility for effective daily clinical pharmacy operations.</p> <p>Ensures proper fiscal management of Pharmacy Budgeting goals and technology initiatives.</p> <p>Actively participates in meetings and conferences relative to Medication Management, Patient Safety and Pharmacy support services.</p> <p>Writes and conducts performance reviews in an effective and timely manner, with consideration for career ladders and growth.</p> <p>Performs other related duties as assigned or requested</p> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Education: Doctorate degree from an accredited ACPE College of Pharmacy - Required </li><li>Work Experience: Completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency - Required </li><li>PGY-1 Required PGY-2 ( preferred) </li><li>Licensure/Certifications: NJ Pharmacist license (required) </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay• Medical, dental, and vision insurance• 401k with Company match• Generous paid time off• Paid Holidays• Tuition Reimbursement• Advancement and career development opportunities </li></ul> <p>Covid-19 and Influenza Vaccinations are a requirement for employment at CarePoint Health.
