<p>LaunchCode Instructional Assistants are important and valuable members of a program's Course Staff. Education Operations Managers and Instructors rely on Instructional Assistants to reinforce the subject knowledge taught in the lecture, teach the application of concepts and skills, and foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment. Instructional Assistants take an active role in ensuring Learners have high-quality educational and community experiences throughout the course, enabling engagement and retention.</p> <p>At LaunchCode, Senior Instructional Assistants act as a second-in-command to our Lead Instructor for our part-time evening courses. The Sr. Instructional Assistant guides a group of Learners as their principal education and support point of contact throughout the LaunchCode program, while simultaneously being able to define and refine their professional development goals.</p> <p>The Senior Instructional Assistant leadership experience provides the opportunity to grow, not just your technical skills, but also public speaking, presentation, people management, and group facilitation skills.</p> <p>Position Details:</p> <ul> <li> <p>This is a temporary part-time non-exempt role working approximately 8 - 10 hours per week</p> </li><li> <p>Start Date: July 7, 2025</p> </li><li> <p>Estimated End Date: April 13, 2026</p> </li><li> <p>Pay rate is $35/hour</p> </li><li> <p>Instructional Assistants report to the designated program's LaunchCode Program Manager.</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Lead Classroom Workshop (20%)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Answer questions and conduct mini discussions as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Direct workshop</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li> <p></p> </li></ul> <p>Ask the Learners questions to assess and confirm understanding of the material and assignment</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supplement specific assignments with paired activities as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Empower interdependency and proactivity</p> </li><li> <p>Encourage participation;
