Supervision must be in accordance with federal, state, & local laws and policies of this organization.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential</p> <p>functions.</p> <ul> <li>Supervise nursing care in accordance with rules, regulations & guidelines governing long-term care. </li><li>Ensure all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with written policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>established by this organization.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all nursing personnel comply with procedures set forth by the organization. </li><li>Assure the implementation of resident care plans. </li><li>Conduct assessments and care plans appropriate for residents admitted to the facility. </li><li>Keep DON informed of information of any changes in resident condition. </li><li>Review, investigate and document properly all incidents/accidents. </li><li>Coordinate orientation for new nursing staff. </li><li>Implement progressive discipline when appropriate. </li><li>Participate in facility surveys made by authorized agencies. </li><li>Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required. </li><li>Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident's admission, transfer, </li></ul> <p>and or discharge.</p> <ul> <li>Chart all reports of accidents/incidents involving residents. Follow established procedures. </li><li>Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician. Verify the identity of the resident before administering the medication/treatment. </li><li>Ensure adequate medications, supplies, and equipment are available. Report needs to DON. </li><li>Ensure narcotic records are accurate for your shift. Notify DON of all drug and narcotic discrepancies. </li><li>Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with safety and infection control policies and </li></ul> <p>procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper</p> <p>disposal of soiled materials.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of accredited nursing program </li><li>Current Massachusetts nursing license as an RN/LPN </li><li>Previous nursing experience in a supervisory role preferred </li><li>CPR/BLS/AED and IV certification required </li></ul> <p>Linda Manor Extended Care offers high-quality short-term rehabilitation, compassionate long-term care, and specialized dementia care for when care needs progress beyond assisted living.</p>
