<p>Accounting Intern</p> <p>Location: Cary, Illinois</p> <p>Level: Intern</p> <p>Division / Department: Accounting</p> <p>Reporting to position: Accounts Payable Supervisor</p> <p>Summer 2026 - 90-day internship</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>The Do It Best/True Value Manufacturing Team is looking to employ a self-motivated, analytical summer intern that will be paid on an hourly basis. This successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoice requests, maintaining vendor records, and addressing varying functions with the Accounting Department, with a focus on Accounts Payable. The Accounting Intern may be able to use the work experience towards university/college credit.</p> <p>Scheduled Days: Monday through Friday</p> <p>Scheduled Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM</p> <p>Starting Hourly Rate: $18.00</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Track all accounts payable status requests daily and report monthly to supervisors. </li><li>Handle incoming calls and correspondence efficiently. </li><li>Audit vendor statements monthly, deduct outstanding credits, and review all collected balances due. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Current college student </li><li>Pursuing a degree in Accounting or related field </li><li>Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) </li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Self-starter </li><li>Ability to work independently </li><li>Familiarity with basic Accounting principles </li></ul> <p>Benefits available to you:</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to hands-on experience in Accounting, specifically Accounts Payable </li><li>Helpful mentoring from business leaders within Accounting and other departments </li><li>College credit </li></ul>
