<p>Assumes responsibility for the ongoing operations of the credit union branches within the assigned school:</p> <ul> <li>Receives deposits to savings and checking accounts, processes withdrawals, receives and posts loan payments, cashes checks and takes check reorders with efficiency and accuracy. </li><li>Runs checks throughout the day and batch checks. End of day balancing is done by the Student Universal MSR at close of business. Checks are scanned as they are received daily. </li><li>Possesses a thorough understanding of the function and operation of all security equipment, and knows proper security procedures within the branch. </li><li>Ensures we are compliant with all governing regulations, specifically the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC and the Patriot Act requirements. She/he must understand and comply with all state and federal regulations and laws. </li><li>Follows procedures for positively identifying authorized individuals prior to conducting transactions and account file maintenance. File maintenance includes, but is not limited to, opening new accounts, opening additional shares on existing accounts, closing shares on accounts, adding/removing joint owners/authorized users, ordering checks, printing laser checks, processing address changes, placing stop payment/holds on accounts, establishing automatic share transfers and issuing, reissuing & capturing debit cards. Student Universal MSRs are responsible for following all procedures for qualifying new and existing members for credit union products and services. </li><li>Acts as vault teller, handling all monetary disbursement and deposits into branch totals. Assists in the control of traffic in and out of the vault. </li><li>Opens and closes vault each day and sets alarms each night. </li><li>Presents a neat and professional image by complying with the employee dress code documented in the Employee Manual. </li><li>Maintains proper housekeeping of individual area, as well as the entire teller area. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the Teacher Manager. </li></ul> <p>Skills/ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and comprehend instructions, from simple to complex, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write clearly, effectively and professionally to communicate information to members, non-members, other employees and business partners. </li><li>Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate percentages. Ability to perform these operations using United States currency and the American Standard units of measurements for weight, volume and distance. </li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment & Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
