<p>Sensata Technologies is seeking a Global Indirect Procurement Director to lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies across $400M+ in indirect material spend spanning multiple categories. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role that blends strategic leadership, operational execution, and innovation while being a part of a company that values integrity, growth, and global impact.</p> <p>General Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Directs inventory management and material budgets </li><li>Directs implementation of innovative strategies for cost reduction, quality and other aspects </li><li>Oversee analyses of market conditions and trends to predict future supply needs </li><li>Direct cross functional team in the execution of medium to large strategic sourcing initiatives and the implementation of category strategies </li><li>Oversee consistent communication with suppliers to ensure timelines is met </li><li>Direct interactions between suppliers and functional teams to answer any questions related to any documents </li><li>Oversee negotiations ranging from Long Term Agreements to individual Purchase Orders </li></ul> <p>Experience / Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. </li><li>Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members </li><li>Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands </li><li>Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation </li><li>Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results </li><li>Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) </li><li>Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers </li></ul> <p>As the Global Indirect Procurement Director, you will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead a global team of sourcing professionals, shaping a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and execute innovative category strategies that drive cost savings, enhance supply continuity, and support business growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing leaders to align sourcing with enterprise-wide objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Leverage tools like should-cost modeling, TCO analysis, and e-Sourcing to drive smarter decision-making.</p> </li><li> <p>Build and maintain world-class supplier relationships, developing robust evaluation and performance management frameworks.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay ahead of market trends to mitigate risk, capture value, and ensure agility in global supply chains.</p> </li><li> <p>Guide tactical procurement teams to align day-to-day purchasing with strategic objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations while upholding the highest ethical standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>12+ years of indirect sourcing experience with 6+ years managing global teams</p> </li><li> <p>Oracle ERP Experience desired (R11 and/or R12)</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient with Microsoft Office suite tools</p> </li><li> <p>Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience strongly desired</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to travel 25% both domestically and to Global Regions</p> </li><li> <p>Green Belt certification</p> </li></ul> <p>#LI-MY1</p> <p>Base Salary Range:</p> <p>$160,800.00 - $221,100.00</p> <p>At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.
