<p>Job Description:</p> <p>School Year: 2025-26</p> <p>Position Open: Middle School Math/Science Teacher, Grades 6-8</p> <p>Circle of Seasons Charter School, a Public Waldorf Methods Inspired School, seeks a devoted, enthusiastic Middle School Math/Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.</p> <p>Circle of Seasons is a K-8 school that offers an approach to teaching and learning that is both whole child focused and student centered. We are the first, and one of just a few public charter schools on the east coast that is guided by the core principles of Public Waldorf Education. Circle of Seasons' campus is located in Fogelsville, PA and is positioned on a 35-acre wooded campus with access to outdoor classrooms, hiking trails, woods, and playing fields.</p> <p>COS nurtures a supportive academic learning environment and classroom community by helping students develop respect, confidence, acceptance, in addition to other positive social values. Our faculty engage in ongoing professional development, working collaboratively and individually to develop skill in designing instruction and creating classroom experiences that build a strong, caring community of learners.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Waldorf training and experience (preferred) </li><li>Demonstrated enthusiasm for Public Waldorf Education </li><li>Pennsylvania Teacher Certification in Math and Science </li><li>3-5 years of teaching experience (preferred) </li><li>Bachelor's degree required </li><li>Dedication to excellence in teaching and further professional development </li><li>Confident classroom presence; strong social and communication skills </li><li>Interest in interdisciplinary teaching, integrating music, drama, visual arts, and creative movement </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work cooperatively with colleagues to develop and map our Circle of Seasons Public Waldorf curriculum and program </li><li>Design educative experiences that integrate Pennsylvania Common Core Standards with art, movement, and nature experiences </li><li>Collaborate with team members to facilitate interdisciplinary instruction that is inclusive of all learners </li><li>Communicate with families to build relationships </li><li>Participate in ongoing professional development and COS classroom observation and evaluation plan </li><li>Maintain a positive learning environment that is safe, joyful, and nurturing </li></ul> <p>Hours are 8:00 - 4:00 Monday through Friday. Meetings, open house events, and festivals outside of these hours may require your attendance.</p> <p>The starting salary for this position is $47,142 and includes participation in the 403b retirement plan and healthcare benefits. Salary may be adjusted for Waldorf experience and schooling beyond Bachelor's level study.
