<p>JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE</p> <p>This Commercial Lender position is responsible for providing a full range of commercial banking services including developing new business and client relationships. As a trusted advisor, this experienced lender should have knowledge of underwriting, structuring, and closing commercial loans in accordance with the Bank's lending policies and philosophies.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>This position performs the following duties, including but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Develops new customer prospects and business for the financial institution. </li><li>Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines their loan repayment capabilities. </li><li>Negotiates credit terms, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications. </li><li>Evaluates loan requests based on bank policies and makes loan recommendations to management. </li><li>Reviews new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution and makes recommendations to management when necessary. </li><li>Handles inquiries from applicants and branch personnel. May assist in resolution of customer issues. </li><li>Meets performance/production goals determined by management. </li><li>Represents the financial institution in public relations activities and community affairs. </li><li>Performs other duties assigned by Market President, Regional President and other executive management. </li></ul> <p>SPECIFIC GOALS</p> <ul> <li>Solicit and develop new business and maintain respective existing customers. </li><li>Complete all requirements of education and activities involving the Emmerich program. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related area, preferred but not required. </li><li>Three to five years' experience in a commercial banking position. </li><li>Extensive experience in business and client development. </li><li>Commercial credit underwriting knowledge. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of commercial lending policies and procedures. </li><li>Above average sales, organizational and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to read and comprehend training materials, bank communications and related loan manuals. </li><li>Ability to learn and follow all bank policies. </li><li>Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other common PC-based software. </li></ul> <p>Citizens Bank promotes an equal employment opportunity workplace which includes reasonable accommodation of otherwise qualified disabled applicants and employees.
