Together, we're united in our mission and these shared values: we're motivated by our faith, we support one another, we champion justice, we pursue excellence, and we're in it for the long haul.</p> <p>As a Facilities Assistant you will be primarily responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager with the maintenance, safety, and improvement of facilities, grounds, and equipment, including agency owned and leased vehicles. This individual will also be responsible for the set up and tear down of furniture as needed ensuring the processes are efficient and done smoothly.</p> <p>This position is expected to function effectively with regular supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Perform repairs and maintenance on buildings, vehicles, and equipment as required. </li><li>Assist with keeping buildings, grounds, and associated properties well maintained; </li><li>Conduct snow removal and lawn maintenance; </li><li>Monitor contracted service providers; </li><li>Assist with moving furniture and files, as needed </li><li>Assist with emergency clean ups, when needed. </li><li>Recognize and communicate facility maintenance needs to the facilities team. </li><li>Complete required internal training courses, as assigned; </li><li>Perform other duties assigned as needed. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent; </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of repairs and maintenance in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and vehicles; </li><li>Maintenance experience, preferred; </li><li>Good mechanical aptitude; </li><li>Ability to perform tasks with tools, ladders, and lifts in a safe, effective manner; </li><li>High level of initiative; </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills; </li><li>Able to collaborate and communicate well with supervisors, peers, and others regarding building maintenance related matters; </li><li>Must have an ability to provide excellent customer service; </li><li>Exercise a high level of confidentiality; </li><li>Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks; </li><li>Maintain a neat appearance as appropriate for the position; </li><li>Demonstrated time management skills and be self-motivated; </li><li>Able to work after hours and weekend on-call, as assigned; </li><li>Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; </li><li>Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage; </li><li>Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries; </li><li>Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity. </li></ul> <p>#LI-AO1</p>
