<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Description: General Music and Band Teacher for grades 3 - 6</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Teach students the importance of music education, incorporation of technology, cultural relevance/differences, instrumental Lessons, band, drama, etc.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>CT Certification in Music K-12 or DSAP eligible </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with the unified arts team </li><li>Discern student performance data </li><li>Ability to participate in the SRBI process </li><li>Effectively plan and deliver engaging/hands-on lessons </li><li>Assess student learning </li><li>Effectively and proactively communicate student progress toward goals </li><li>Ability to demonstrate vocally </li><li>Interest/experience in band/instrument development </li><li>Interest in Drama </li><li>Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in the school environment and community </li><li>Maintains a cooperative working relationship with the Principal, supervising teacher, students, parents, staff, and the public. </li><li>Participates in professional learning activities that align with school improvement goals. Participates in staff development opportunities provided by the district </li><li>Demonstrates a positive attitude toward work assignments </li><li>Accepts responsibility for the work assigned and accepts feedback. </li><li>Must be able to stand, sit, and be physically active for extended periods.
