<p>At NorthBay Health the Clinical Nurse Supervisor is a transformational leader who functions as the first-line shift supervisor for the unit and has the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager </li><li>Has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the organization Patient Care Services Division </li><li>Utilizes Jean Watson's Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay's professional nursing practice model, supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization </li><li>Responsible for leadership and supervision of direct care staff, daily operations, leading the team to meet service goals, maintaining and promoting professional development </li><li>Delegates care to other health care personnel consistent with their scope of practice, job description, competency </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing. </li><li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required (Employees who are grandfathered are exempted). </li></ul> <p>Licensure:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid and current RN license by the State of California.</p> </li><li> <p>Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.</p> </li><li> <p>National Certification preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Professional Organization Membership preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of three years of acute care experience in area of specialty required. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership abilities. </li><li>National certification in specialty area preferred. </li></ul> <p>Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Work Hours:</p> <ul> <li>FTE: 0.9 (Full-Time) </li><li>Schedule: 36 hours weekly </li><li>Shift Length: 12-hour shifts </li></ul>
