<p>Job Title: Dental Assistant</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Join a dynamic team as a dental assistant, working closely with the Faculty Dentistry team to provide exceptional patient care. Collaborate with 4-5 providers per day alongside 7-9 dental assistants, ensuring timely and efficient service within a multi-specialty practice.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform chair-side assisting in the delivery of patient care related to dental treatment procedures. </li><li>Maintain clinic cleanliness, open and lock up the clinic, deliver and retrieve instruments from sterilization, and set up operatories. </li><li>Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations, ensuring lab cases are ready for delivery. </li><li>Facilitate the opening and closing of the clinic and assist with daily operations, including operating rooms. </li><li>Prepare rooms for procedures, support cleanup, breakdown, and room setup processes. </li><li>Assist faculty, residents, and staff with clinical procedures throughout and outside the workstation. </li><li>Ensure each operatory is equipped with adequate instrumentation and supplies for efficient procedures. </li><li>Maintain neat, clean, and stocked clinic operatories. </li><li>Maintain complete inventory of all clinical supplies and ensure proper sterilization. </li><li>Adhere to Infection Control Protocol, maintain appropriate attire, and use eye wear. </li><li>Perform sterilization duties including delivery and retrieval of instruments and appropriate storage. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>X-ray and radiography expertise. </li><li>Proficiency in dental assisting and chair-side assisting. </li><li>Graduation from a Dental Assistant program. </li><li>Ortho experience. </li><li>Certified Orthodontist Assistant (COA) preferred. </li><li>Minimum 3+ years of dental assisting back office experience. </li><li>Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work in a private practice setting with 4-5 providers at any given time, seeing 30-40 patients in the morning and another 30-40 patients in the afternoon. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:45 AM to 5 PM with a one-hour lunch break, and Friday from 8 AM to 12 PM.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
