Our Hebron location primarily supports the Aerospace and Land-Based Power Generation markets, developing advanced engineered thermal spray coating solutions and providing Best in Class support to our worldwide customer base.</p> <p>Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Based in Hebron, Kentucky, the Lead - Thermal Spray Technician will perform essential job functions associated with thermal spray processes under the direction of the Production Supervisor to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed. As a Lead Thermal Spray Technician, you will be responsible for performing HVOF, plasma, and/or other thermal spray coating operations per customer requirements and job folder specifications.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following.</p> <ul> <li>Under limited supervision, directs and guides the essential job functions of shift employees while performing similar duties of production. </li><li>Assists with operations, control, and monitoring of thermal spray and related equipment as required and written in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork. </li><li>Review job folder to verify area of part to be masked, cleaned, and/or blasted and coated. Confirm all pre-coating requirements have been completed according to the job folder specification. Blueprint reading is a preferred skill. </li><li>Set up parameters and process and operate thermal spray equipment and robotics. </li><li>Follow in-process inspection procedures as needed to verify current operation meets customer and technical plan requirements. </li><li>Competency in the use of basic precision measuring instruments. </li><li>Record and sign off on all applicable data defined in the job folder. </li><li>Bring any unusual problem or irregularity to the attention of a supervisor. </li><li>Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping. </li><li>Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position. </li><li>This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers' inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage. </li><li>Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
