Responsible for financial oversight and guidance, ensuring compliance with applicable district policy, state and federal regulations. Forecasts the financial health and sustainability of autonomous schools through the use of financial modeling, ratios and analysis of financial statements. Identifies gaps in knowledge/compliance; then assists with developing and providing needed training for autonomous schools. Communicates information and opinions with clarity and accuracy while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders. Assists the Director with charter school purchased services and CDE/audit reporting, compliance and review. Develops and promotes good community relations among various district and community clientele.</p> <p>Position Specific Information (if Applicable):</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Communicate clearly and accurately to appropriate stakeholder in order to identify and correct potential issues proactively.</p> <p>Manage purchased services agreement with charter schools to include contract pricing/offering, monthly transfers, year-end true-up and District department coordination of billing.</p> <p>Assist with year-end charter school audit review, fiscal health analysis and CDE data pipeline submission preparation for all charter school data.</p> <p>Support the review of new charter school applications to provide financial expertise in the decision-making process in collaboration with the Director of Budget.</p> <p>Provide financial analysis of school budgets, quarterly reports, and financial audits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and to identify potential risks or areas of concern.</p> <p>Work with Choice Programming office to notify schools of non-compliance or to discuss concerns around the financial health and sustainability of the school.</p> <p>Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.</p> <p>Provide charter schools with the necessary support and training necessary to ensure compliance with the District's accounting, budget, reporting and compliance with state and federal regulations.</p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Three (3) years in budget, accounting and data analysis as well as research and evaluation skills utilizing automated systems (preferred experience in governmental accounting and budgeting environment). | Not Required</p> <p>Certifications:</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Bachelor's Degree: Finance</p> <p>Skills:</p> <p>Ability to work with time constraints and deadlines., Computer applications: Excel pivot tables, Graphing, Formulas and Linking., Constant lifting five (5) to twenty (20) pounds.
