<p>Florida A&M University's Division of Strategic Planning, Analysis and Institutional Effectiveness (SPAIE) is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Associate Vice President of SPAIE vacancy.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Associate Vice President of Strategic Planning, Analysis, and Institutional Effectiveness (AVP-SPAIE) provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for the university's planning, data analytics, and institutional research functions. This role is responsible for advancing a culture of evidence-based decision making by ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and strategic use of institutional data to inform policy, planning, assessment, and continuous improvement across the institution; Reporting to the Vice President for Strategic Planning, Analysis & Institutional Effectiveness (VP-SPAIE), the AVP leads teams responsible for institutional research, strategic planning, assessment, and data governance, ensuring alignment with the university's mission, strategic priorities, and regulatory reporting requirements; and improve the effectiveness processes and services related to accreditation standards, academic policies, external regulatory agencies, and state and federal higher education regulations.</p> <p>Lead and coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of the university's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and external mandates; Collaborate with senior leadership to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and institutional success metrics; Facilitate data-informed strategic and operational planning at institutional, college and departmental levels; Oversee the design, collection, analysis, and dissemination of institutional data to support decision-making, planning, accreditation, and accountability efforts; Manage reporting obligations to state and federal agencies (e.g., SUDS, IPEDS, U.S. Department of Education); Ensure the integrity and accuracy of institutional data through effective data governance and quality assurance practices; Lead institutional surveys, data dashboards, and analytics initiatives to inform leadership and stakeholders; Support institutional and program-level accreditation through the provision of data, analysis and performance.</p> <p>Partner with academic and administrative units to develop and assess outcomes-based measures of effectiveness; Provide evidence-based insights to guide institutional improvement and compliance with accreditation standards; Develop and implement policies and frameworks for effective data governance and stewardship; Collaborate with IT and other units to maintain secure and efficient data systems and reporting platforms; Promote transparency and consistency in data reporting across all university functions; Supervise and mentor professional staff in the area of institutional research, planning, analytics, and assessment; Collaborate across divisions and colleges to foster a culture of data-informed decision-making; Represent the university to external agencies, consortia, and professional organizations on matters of institutional data and strategy; Manage departmental budget including Title III reporting and website; Perform related duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and nine years of related experience; or master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and seven years of related experience.</p> <p>Recommended Competencies</p> <p>Skill in aligning research efforts with institutional goals and decision-making;</p> <p>Advanced ability to analyze complex institutional data and draw actionable insights;</p> <p>Deep understanding of research design, survey methodologies, benchmarking, and predictive modeling;</p> <p>Strong planning and execution of multi-phase projects with competing deadlines; and,</p> <p>Can effectively translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Master's or doctoral degree in higher education administration, statistics, business administration, data analytics, or a related field; Minimum of (7) years of progressive leadership experience in strategic planning, institutional research, data analytics or related fields within higher education; Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, assessment methodologies, and performance metrics; Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders; and, Experience with data management systems, statistical software, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.</p> <p>Pay Plan</p> <p>This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.</p> <p>Conditions of Employment</p> <p>Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education.
