<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilities Support Specialist is responsible for the completion of projects that support operations of the maintenance department. This position supports the above listed departments across Broome, Chenango, and Tioga Counties. This position's specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the subsequent items, and are characterized in the following five standards of performance, defined as below:</p> <p>I. JOB KNOWLEDGE</p> <ul> <li>Adds value as a key member of the facilities maintenance team; understands regulatory compliance, all forms of maintenance strategies, and the key components of excellent customer service. </li><li>Responsible for the timely and accurate update of all CMMS data/assets based on operational changes and modifications. </li><li>Creates, enters, and assigns all vehicle asset preventative maintenance schedules, work order instructions and provides timely accurate updates as needed. </li><li>Maintain up to date vehicle inspections and registrations </li><li>Provides daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly vehicle tracking and performance reports for Management </li><li>Completes required reports and ensures program compliance for 5310 vehicles. </li><li>Responsible for the support and monitoring of on time completion of the required annual external maintenance inspection needs and schedules. </li><li>Supports the solicitation, review, organization, and submittal of Vendors / Suppliers bids and/ or contracts to leadership for decision to secure resources based on the Maintenance Departments and Agency needs. </li><li>Assist the department with tracking equipment lifecycles and make recommendations for preventative maintenance and replacement. </li><li>Ensures all documentation is maintained and in line with all departmental and regulatory standards. </li><li>Participates in on-going training and education as required and assigned </li><li>Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. </li></ul> <p>II. TEAMWORK</p> <ul> <li>Encourage and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments in the agency, parents, staff, individuals supported and community partners </li><li>Communicate all health, safety concerns including those concerns that affect individuals receiving services and/or program concerns, sensitive situations, and incidents to supervisor </li><li>Attend and participate in all required and/or requested departmental or agency meetings </li></ul> <p>III. DOCUMENTATION</p> <ul> <li>Complete required documentation in conformance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures and billing practices </li><li>Perform documentation reviews to ensure records are maintained in conformance with rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and billing practices </li></ul> <p>IV. COMPLIANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY</p> <ul> <li>Identify and report any untoward incidents </li><li>Identify, report and/or correct all safety hazards including physical plant problems and/or problem work practices and assist with investigating all work-related accidents as requested </li><li>Participate in any investigations as required </li><li>Comply with all State and Federal regulations along with agency policies and practices </li></ul> <p>V. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT</p> <ul> <li>Obtain and maintain required training </li><li>Attend all required training, staff development programs and committees and/or staff meetings as required by the agency and/or State and Federal regulations </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>SPECIAL ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>A high level of proficiency working with computer applications such as a MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and CMMS software. </li><li>Experience with computerized Maintenance Management Systems </li><li>Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repairs. </li><li>Possession of a valid New York State Driver's License and a good driving record that meets the guidelines of the agency's insurance carrier. </li><li>May be required to provide own vehicle transportation in the absence of Agency vehicle availability. </li><li>Ability to lift heavy materials/equipment with a minimum of 50 pounds. Position can be physically demanding with tasks that include heavy lifting, bending, climbing, reaching and repetitive motion. </li><li>Must be competent in the operation of motorized equipment, trailers, and vehicles. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from High School or possession of an equivalency diploma and 2 years-experience of a combination of education and experience that, in the opinion of the reviewing agency, meets or exceeds the above standards of the program. </li><li>Minimum of 1 year preferred of Vehicle maintenance experience </li></ul> <p>Salary Description</p> <p>$22.50 - $25.00/hour</p>
