<p>ABA/DTI Paraeducator / 30 Hour / Special Education / Norton Elementary School JobID: 2554</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Support Staff/ABA/DTI Instructional Assistant</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>4/7/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Norton Elementary School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>Available Immediately</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>ABA/DTI PARAEDUCATOR</p> <p>30 HOUR / SPECIAL EDUCATION</p> <p>NORTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>The Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA)/DTI Paraeducator works in a special education program with elementary aged children with Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disabilities under the direction of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and special education teachers.</p> <p>The ABA/DTI Paraeducator will be able to:</p> <ul> <li>Implement individual and small group instruction to students with specific behavior programs </li><li>Implement lesson plans developed by the special education teacher or BCBA to support student success in all school settings </li><li>Be responsible for managing and organizing lesson materials, preparations and other functions to support each student's individualized education plan (IEP) </li><li>Be responsible for data collection and maintaining documentation for each student. </li><li>Be responsible for following behavior intervention plans under the supervision of the BCBA and special education teacher. </li><li>Participate in ongoing professional learning </li><li>Support students with personal hygiene and Incorporate safety measures for students </li></ul> <p>Supervised By: Special Education Supervisor and/or School Principal</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Candidates must hold a high school diploma. Associates and/or or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field preferred but not necessary. Experience working directly with children with autism and/or behavioral challenges within a behavioral program preferred but not necessary. PMT or similar training preferred.</p> <p>New College Grads encouraged to apply!!! Good experience for future psychologists, social workers and special education teachers.</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 in Behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroom/Playground Aides. Starting Salary $25.18/hour.
