<p>Postdoctoral Associate:</p> <p>Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)</p> <p>Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computational Biology, Neuroscience with Computational or Theoretical focus, or a closely related field.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Familiar with Information Theory, Probabilistic Inference, Algebraic Topology and Wavelet analysis theory. Familiar with Matlab/Python/C programming. Experience with Pytorch and multi-GPU model deployment. Experience in analyzing complex time series data.</p> <p>Brief Description of Duties:</p> <p>The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator Dr. Siwei Wang in the department of Neurobiology & Behavior. The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University.</p> <p>The research performed will focus on data analysis of electrophysiological, calcium imaging and video based kinematic data as well as developing biology informed self-supervised learning models. Within the predetermined research scope and methodology, conduct research experiments in the field of neuroscience, computational neuroscience and biologically plausible machine learning tools.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze data and developing biologically plausible machine learning frameworks, and perform computational studies relying on modeling, including programming and </li></ul> <p>theoretical analysis.</p> <ul> <li>Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
