The 425-acre campus is a designated arboretum, complete with gardens, rolling lawns, a creek, wooded hills, and hiking trails in the Crum Woods.</p> <p>Under limited supervision, the Environmental Technician maintains the cleanliness levels in campus facilities.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <p>? Performs general cleaning in various locations including restrooms, common spaces, dorms, and academic spaces.</p> <p>o Completes daily tasks of trash removal, cleaning, disinfecting, dusting, and checking/refilling restroom supplies, and cleaning chalk boards and dry erase boards.</p> <p>? Performs floor care tasks including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, waxing, buffing and carpet shampooing.</p> <p>? Moves heavy furniture, supplies and miscellaneous equipment as needed.</p> <p>? Collects and disposes of non-hazardous waste, recyclable, and compostable materials.</p> <p>? Maintains work/supply closets in a clean and organized fashion.</p> <p>? Collects and disposes of non-hazardous waste, recyclable, and compostable materials in accordance with College's zero waste practices.</p> <p>? Participates in training on the College's zero waste practices to develop appropriate competencies.</p> <p>? Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>.? Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions to interact with students, faculty, and staff.</p> <p>? Ability to communicate with co-workers and management with professionalism and respect.</p> <p>? Must have basic computer data entry skills for email, timesheet, and training.</p> <p>? Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.</p> <p>? Ability to adapt to and work in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.</p> <p>? Valid driver's license may be required depending on the shift.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>? Experience in custodial or general maintenance work.</p> <p>? Knowledge of minor equipment repair.</p> <p>? Knowledge of proper sanitization methods.</p> <p>? Knowledge of cleaning and waxing methods, materials, and equipment used in industrial cleaning is desirable but may be learned on the job.</p> <p>? Knowledge of custodial safety procedures.</p> <p>?
