Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Perform BASIC preventative maintenance inspection and service on all production and manufacturing equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company guidelines. </li><li>Perform BASIC troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of equipment to the desired company's performance standards. </li><li>Interface, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic computerized systems and equipment </li><li>Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes. </li><li>Comply with all company work and safety rules and regulatory compliance rules and regulations. </li><li>Use all personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations. </li><li>Possess the necessary personal tools to perform duties. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent required. </li><li>One year certificate from college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training in manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair; or equivalent combination of continued education and experience. </li></ul> <p>Other Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required. </li><li>Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required. </li><li>Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion. </li><li>Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. </li><li>Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem solving is required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred but not required:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays). </li><li>Experience with conveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls). </li><li>Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting) </li><li>Experience with electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.). </li><li>Experience with gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts). </li><li>Experience with hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting). </li><li>Experience with kinematics (e.g., line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.). </li><li>Review rating instructions. </li><li>Experience with packaging/high speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.). </li><li>Experience with pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting). </li><li>Experience with pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.). </li><li>Experience with preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data). </li><li>Experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs). </li></ul> <p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:</p> <ul> <li>PLC, HVAC, Ammonia, Refrigeration, or other specialty certifications preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, both indoors and outdoors. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend. </li><li>Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally 75 pounds. </li><li>Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment. </li></ul> <p>EOE Vet/Disability</p> <p>Borden Dairy is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
