<p>Position: Technology Support Specialist</p> <p>Location: Central Office</p> <p>Benefits/Term: 12 month position with fulltime benefits</p> <p>Salary: To be determined</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the Technology Department to design and deliver professional development workshops for teachers and administrators on the use of current classroom technology throughout the school year. </li><li>Maintain applicable records related to data, accounts, and district-wide technology. </li><li>Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance for faculty and staff using help desk software. </li><li>Assist in receiving and installing new equipment and software. </li><li>Assess the need for miscellaneous items such as cables, power strips, power cords, and adapters. </li><li>Provide your own transportation to various sites throughout the district (mileage is reimbursed). </li><li>Coach and support faculty and staff in developing their technology skills and improving classroom performance by providing computer skills training. </li><li>Train teachers to ensure the integration of student laptop computers. </li><li>Provide resource information on new techniques and practices related to the use of technology as a learning tool for students. </li><li>Communicate with faculty and staff to share information about classroom technology. </li><li>Serve as the focal point of support for the Madison County website by working with vendors and school website administrators. </li><li>Assist in creating and maintaining email and Active Directory accounts for faculty, staff, and students. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree or four-year college degree preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in computer Windows imaging and applications (Office 365/Gmail accounts), instructional technology, and multimedia production. </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of instructional classroom support principles and practices. </li><li>Familiarity with classroom Interactive displays. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of Windows System Center imaging technology. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of trouble shooting printing services. </li><li>Ability to work with non-technical clients and translate content into multimedia products in formats including video, audio, graphics, digital animations, and website maintenance. </li><li>Ability to create multimedia training materials for faculty and staff and provide training for groups of faulty and staff. </li><li>Ability to remain calm under pressure. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft excel and word. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Active listening skills. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Work is typically performed in an office or classroom environment with some travel to other schools in the district. </li><li>Frequent work interruptions and pressure due to competing priorities and deadlines are expected. </li><li>Heavy computer use daily. </li><li>Must be able to adapt and respond quickly to constantly changing projects and technology. </li><li>Must interact professionally with distraught or reactive individuals. </li><li>Ability to lift and work on equipment in high, tight, and poorly lit spaces, such as ceilings, under desks, closets, or other confined areas. </li><li>Lifting and moving computer components and peripherals weighing up to 50 pounds and utilize ladder as necessary. </li><li>Occasional periods of sustained effort and crawling under desks and confined spaces to install/uninstall or move equipment district-wide. </li></ul> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Apply Online</p> <p>Reports to: Superintendent and/or designee, Technology Director</p>
