<p>WEG Electric Corp has a great opportunity for a Modification Shop Lead to join our team in Romeoville IL This role will be responsible for all motor modification shop activities and personnel The correct candidate will be able to drive team performance to meet team goals ensure the shop is properly supplied ensure all equipment is within calibration requirements manage team schedules provide training and guidance to junior technicians set workload assignments for the team prioritize work to meet customer demands and communicate any issues with the department manager Knowledge Strong knowledge of low voltage AC motorsProficient in using systems and engineering tools that are used for quotations order entry and analysis of customer performance dataAbility to handle manual and power toolsUnderstand and follow safety proceduresFamiliar with modification proceduresFamiliar with the inventory control systemProficient with Microsoft OfficeStrong knowledge of industry certification requirementsStrong mechanical aptitudePrimary Responsibilities Modify electric motors as per customer specificationPerform investigation of returned motors and prepare written reports on issueWork with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issuesBe proficient enough with Word and Excel to produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shopTest motors to ensure operation following modificationWork in conjunction with the warehouse manager to insure proper placement of modified motors in inventoryActively mentors and facilitates professional development among the team membersFacilitates training initiatives for the Mod Shop team and other employee teams to promote efficient and collaborative work practicesAssists Mod Shop Manager with workforce management hiring needs separations etcExperience 5 7 years of experience About WEG Electric Corp WEG is the largest industrial electric motor manufacturer in the Americas and one of the largest manufacturers of electric motors in the world producing more than 21 million units annually Founded in 1961 WEG operates mainly in the sector of capital goods having five main businesses Motors Energy Automation Coatings Transmission & Distribution providing global solutions for electric motors variable frequency drives soft starters controls panels transformers and generators The US corporate office is located in Duluth GA with manufacturing units in Minnesota Indiana and Missouri with over 30 thousand employees worldwide Visit our website to learn more wwwwegnet We offer a pleasant work environment competitive compensation and full benefits package To Apply All candidates must submit an updated resume and complete our application in order to be considered for this position You must be authorized to work in the United States WEG does not offer visa sponsorship for this role We are proud to be an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action employer Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race sex disability veteran or other protected status</p>
