We offer the kind of original, useful products that only Casio can.</p> <p>OVERVIEW</p> <p>The Tax Supervisor supports all aspects of federal, state, local & international tax compliance for Casio. Responsible for preparing and filing a variety of tax returns, maintaining accurate tax records, and supporting audits and special projects. Works closely with Tax Advisors and cross-functional teams to research tax issues, resolve discrepancies, and streamline compliance processes.</p> <p>Assists General Accounting Team with various analysis, etc.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Supports Tax Advisors with all state and federal tax matters, including filing returns, estimates, researching and resolving disputes and contentions with various governments. </li><li>Maintains and tracks Tax calendar. </li><li>Self-assess Use Tax, when applicable; on purchases of various Marketing materials that are shipped outside of N.J. Support Purchasing Department Sales and Use Tax questions. Prepare and enter related Journal Entries into Financial System. </li><li>Responsible for quarterly CAT (Ohio) Franchise Tax Return preparation and filing. </li><li>Files and pays Annual Reports and Business Licenses for Corporation and Subsidiaries by State and Locality. </li><li>Files and pays Personal Property Tax returns by State and Locality. </li><li>Compiles annual State Income Tax Apportionments to be used in the State Tax Return Process and track Nexus requirements by state. </li><li>Inputs legacy tax activity into the Avalara system to prepare state sales tax returns, including obtaining relevant sales data. Prepares related payment request for ACH Debit by Avalara. </li><li>Responsible for any other required filings such as banking report, etc. </li><li>Coordinates State Income and Sales Tax audit. </li><li>Performs General Ledger analysis for various tax-related accounts. </li><li>Performs Unclaimed Property tax calculations as applicable. </li><li>Transfer Price agreements and related analysis during APA renewals, for US and Canada </li><li>Supports General Accounting with reporting, analysis, etc; as well as the Inventory area as needed. </li><li>Prepares and files the annual 1099 IRS forms. </li><li>Assists with Payroll Functions in ADP Workforce Now as needed. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA or progress toward certification preferred. </li><li>Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate tax accounting. </li><li>Strong knowledge of sales and use tax, franchise tax, personal property tax, and state-specific reporting requirements. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to prepare and file tax returns and annual business reports across multiple jurisdictions. </li><li>Experience compiling state income tax apportionments and tracking nexus requirements. </li><li>Proven track record coordinating state income and sales tax audits and resolving disputes with taxing authorities. </li><li>Proficiency with Avalara, ADP Workforce Now, and financial reporting systems. </li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong general ledger analysis capabilities. </li><li>Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage tax calendars and meet strict filing deadlines. </li><li>High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance, purchasing, and marketing departments. </li></ul> <p>LOCATION</p> <p>This role is hybrid and requires a minimum of 3 days on-site in our Rockaway, NJ office.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
