<p>The Department of Pharmacy at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Staff Assistant 2 / Materials Manager. The successful candidate will:</p> <ul> <li>Organize and maintain the pharmacy inventory and related supplies, including ordering, receiving, sorting, organizing, replenishing, rotating, and disposing stock in the pharmacy work and storage areas. </li><li>Perform inventory quality control, including but not limited to, maintaining adequate levels of all medications and pharmacy supplies, conducting cycle counts, organizing and tracking outdated medications. </li><li>Place orders through different vendors and wholesalers as appropriate, </li><li>Transport inventory and supplies as necessary to storage locations. </li><li>Prepare and deliver materials for distribution to different departments of the hospital. </li><li>Process outdated medications, schedule vendor returns, and track reimbursement. </li><li>Organize and reconcile pharmacy inventory files and records. </li><li>Participate in the annual physical inventory. </li><li>Proactively track and communicate product shortages and backorders. </li><li>Process drug recalls and log all recall activity. </li><li>Provide oversite of medication storage inspections in clinical areas </li><li>Be proficient in the utilization of pharmacy equipment, systems, technology. </li><li>Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting </li><li>Proficiency in pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology </li><li>Ability to lift up to 10kg </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate Degree </li><li>New York State Pharmacy Technician License </li><li>CPhT Certification </li><li>Hospital Pharmacy experience </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm (Full-Time)</p> <p>Salary Grade/Rank:</p> <p>SL-1</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>Commensurate with experience and qualifications</p> <p>Executive Order:</p> <p>Pursuant to Executive Order 161, no State entity, as defined by the Executive Order, is permitted to ask, or mandate, in any form, that an applicant for employment provide his or her current compensation, or any prior compensation history, until such time as the applicant is extended a conditional offer of employment with compensation.
