<p>Perform duties required to load and unload trucks delivering supplies and parts. Place material in staging area, maintain records of materials received, and move materials throughout the shop as necessary.</p> <p>A Material Handler will start at $20.91/hr. and reaches $26.93/hr. within 12 months!</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Load and unload trucks carrying, weighing, counting, and moving raw materials, supplies, and finished parts, using a forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck. </li><li>Complete shop orders and bills of lading on shipments. </li><li>Weigh in parts and verify receipt against paperwork. </li><li>Inspect incoming work for proper packaging and/or damage. </li><li>Process incoming and outgoing UPS shipments. </li><li>Enter incoming shipment information into computer and on appropriate forms, and complete daily received goods sheet. </li><li>Respond to customer service requests for shipping information, as well as customer inquiries concerning parts. </li><li>Assist operators and helpers in locating parts. </li><li>Prepare pallets and containers for shipment. </li><li>Organize areas in the plant to optimize material flow and keep the plant orderly. </li></ul>
