This role requires extensive experience in automation technologies, industrial communication protocols, and robotic integration, along with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. The position also involves mentoring engineers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across control system processes.</p> <p>How You'll Make an Impact:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead the design and development of industrial control systems, including PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.), HMI/SCADA development, and motion control.</p> </li><li> <p>Create and review detailed electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and bill of materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform system commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization at customer sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, manufacturing, and project management, to ensure successful project execution.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, test plans, and operation manuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all designs and implementations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and technical reviews.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for control systems and processes.</p> </li></ul> <p>Note: This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.</p> <p>What You'll Bring:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven expertise in PLC programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal preferred).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong experience with HMI/SCADA development (Ignition, FactoryTalk View, WinCC preferred).</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience interfacing with robotic programming and integration (FANUC, ABB preferred).</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with various industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP).</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to travel to customer sites for commissioning and support as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.</p> <p>Company Overview:</p> <p>At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
