<p>About Indium Phosphide (InP) Technology</p> <p>The world's communications infrastructure depends on semiconductor lasers, and particularly those based on indium phosphide technology. Indium phosphide lasers are engineered to emit at wavelengths that are optimal for long-distance transmission through fiber optics. In short, they enable the optical networks that form the global internet.</p> <p>Coherent's broad portfolio of InP components includes application-specific Fabry-Pérot lasers, directly modulated lasers (DMLs), and tunable lasers. It also includes photodiodes for high-speed receivers and power monitoring. In 2022, we introduced 200 Gbps indium phosphide electro-absorption modulated lasers (EMLs) for high-speed datacenter transceivers. This design provides our customers with the most advanced, robust, and cost-competitive laser devices for their 800G and next-gen 1.6T datacom transceiver designs.</p> <p>Our world-class and highly reliable InP technology platform is one of the very few in the industry that has been proven, with more than one hundred million lasers in the field deployed over the last decades.</p> <ul> <li>Semiconductor Wafer Fab </li><li>Maintain photo equipment -Steppers, Aligners, Coaters, Wet benches, Metrology, Microscopes. </li><li>Perform regular PM's and keep records on the equipment in your assigned area. </li><li>Give a written and verbal pass down at the end of each shift. </li><li>Inspection, SPC, Quality Control </li><li>ISO 9000, 14000, Cleanroom, ESD </li></ul> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain fab equipment on the night shift 5pm to 5am </li><li>Perform repairs for all equipment in the Photo area. </li><li>Perform PM's on assigned equipment in your area. </li><li>Coordinate with production on down equipment priorities. </li><li>Familiar with operations of various metrology tools and measurements </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>10 plus yrs of fab experience </li><li>Knowledge of Photo equipment such as Steppers, Coaters, Aligners, SRD's, Wet Benches. </li><li>Knowledge with Metrology equipment </li><li>Knowledge with chemicals preferred </li><li>Wafer handling preferred </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Attention to detail </li><li>Good at working with small parts </li><li>Experience with semi-automated and automated processing tools </li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word </li><li>Experience in wafer level or die level handling </li><li>Meticulous and thorough; diligent with data entry and follow workflow </li><li>Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English required </li><li>Integrity and self-motivated </li><li>Ability to work in fast paced team and independent setting all within a clean room </li><li>Knowledge of machining, construction, electrical would be useful </li><li>Handle chemicals (acids, solvents, plating solutions, polishing slurry) with caution and following safety protocol </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Onsite </li><li>12-hour shift: 5 PM to 5 AM (Wednesday to Friday, every other Saturday) </li><li>Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, carrying out multiple projects at a time. </li><li>B Shift: 5:00PM-5:00AM; 3-day/4-day (Sunday - Tuesday, every other Saturday) </li><li>Candidate to work on-site in a cleanroom environment where strict cleanliness rules will be enforced. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Able to stand for duration of shift when needed </li><li>Able to lift at least 50 lbs </li><li>Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings. </li><li>Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. </li></ul> <p>Safety Requirements</p> <p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
