Billerica, MA is seeking a Calibration Technician for a full-time position.? The candidate will be responsible for providing calibration services in the lab or in the field at the customers' location, as needed.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The candidate will work both independently and with other technicians on the team.? The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of hands-on calibration experience. Candidates with experience using mechanical and/or electronic measuring, inspection, and testing equipment will also be considered. Additionally, the Calibration Technician will be a self-starter, possess good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) as well as have computer competency.</p> <p>Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% to customer sites to calibrate a variety of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work with other technicians within the lab to provide calibration services, which can include measurement, temperature, torque, pressure, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain calibration standards</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge and competency in mechanical and physical dimensional calibrations with instruments / tools such as:</p> </li><li> <p>Hardness testers, optical comparators, surface plates, tensile testers</p> </li><li> <p>Torque drivers, torque wrenches, torque analyzers</p> </li><li> <p>Pressure gauges, temperature equipment, force equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Electronic test equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or at a customer on-site</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Travel requirement: 25-50% of work schedule</p> </li></ul>
