<p>Overview:</p> <p>Identifies, recommends and defends individual investments and/or implementation vehicles to improve portfolio outcomes for clients.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with client-facing colleagues to strengthen their understanding of investment solutions. </li><li>Participate in client and prospect meetings to help solidify current relationships and to develop new business. </li><li>Develop new and innovative investment ideas. </li><li>Analyze portfolio risks, exposures and performance drivers. </li><li>Manage and allocate research work to less experienced teammates. </li><li>Prepare documentation to communicate portfolio performance, investment options, risks and pending decisions. </li><li>Conduct regular meetings and calls to discuss organizational developments, investment strategy and performance/risk. </li><li>Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. </li><li>Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. </li><li>Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. </li><li>Complete other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Required:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience,</p> <p>OR in lieu of a degree,</p> <p>A combined minimum of 9 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience</p> <p>Strong understanding of capital markets and current knowledge of the state of the industry</p> <p>Excellent written and presentation skills</p> <p>Proficient with common industry tools, including Bloomberg, FactSet and Morningstar Direct</p> <p>Highly analytical, research-driven skill set</p> <p>Prior experience communicating insights to internal and external stakeholders</p> <p>Education and Experience Preferred:</p> <p>Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience</p> <p>CFA, progress toward obtaining CFA designation</p> <p>Advanced Degree</p> <p>Network of industry contacts</p> <p>Experience mentoring and developing junior teammates</p> <p>#LI-LA1</p> <p>M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $128,100.00 - $213,500.00 Annual (USD).
