<p>Job Description</p> <p>Infosys is seeking to hire a Linux Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Server admins and Subject Matter Experts. The consultant needs to maintain best practices and collaborates with the architecture and application teams to set the technical vision and target architecture</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. </li><li>At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology. </li><li>Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Oakland, CA or Richardson, TX or Raleigh, NC, Hartford, CT or Indianapolis, IN or Phoenix, AZ or Tempe, AZ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US </li><li>Hands on experience on Linux Administration (RHEL/Ubuntu/Cent OS/ Oracle Enterprise Linux). </li><li>Knowledge on Unix, Cloud (AWS/Azure). </li><li>Hands on experience on installing new Linux OS, releases, configure, upgrade, patch, and secure servers. They install, patch installations, upgrade, and maintain Cisco/Dell/HP - based system hardware and software. </li><li>Troubleshoot OS related, Kernel related, server crash related issues. </li><li>Install/maintain patch, administer and monitor the systems. </li><li>Resolve server issues & Provide Root cause Analysis. </li><li>Install recommended vulnerability fixes on server as per RHEL suggestion. </li><li>Provide recommendations for improvements and Proactive Server administration. </li><li>Basic knowledge in (Scripting bash/Python/Perl), Ansible Basic knowledge. </li><li>ITIL Process knowledge Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and Performance Management. </li><li>Knowledge and hands on experience in Open stack. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Planning and Co-ordination skills </li><li>Aptitude to multi-task in dynamic environment. </li><li>Good Communication and Analytical skills </li><li>Knowledge on Server decommission process. </li><li>Coordinate hardware maintenance with application and development teams. </li><li>Experience on User and File system administration and performance tuning. </li><li>Coordinate and implement software maintenance with application teams. </li><li>Support and participate in disaster recovery drills and recovery if required. </li><li>Willing to assist with data center/ facility functions when required such as hardware installations, receiving tape rotations, etc. </li></ul> <p>Estimated annual compensation range for the below locations will be:</p> <p>Oakland, CA: min $85,449 to max $116,132</p> <p>Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Infosys employee you are also eligible for the following benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance </li><li>Long-term/Short-term Disability </li><li>Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts </li><li>Insurance (Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Legal) </li><li>401(k) plan and contributions dependent on salary level </li><li>Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off </li></ul> <p>The job entails an extensive amount of travel.
