Ohio University Well-Being & Recreation is hiring Business Operations & Human Resource Specialists to join our Business Operations team. This vital role offers meaningful training in areas like auditing, budgeting, and reporting-all while directly contributing to our department's success.</p> <p>Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <p>Human Resources:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with New Student Employee Hiring Appointments </li><li>Update employee data in Workforce, the University's time management system </li><li>Maintain and manage the Department's Student Employee Database including employee information and training statuses </li><li>Oversee the CampusRecHR email to ensure timely and accurate communication </li><li>Manage intake and communication for new student hires, promotions, and terminations </li><li>Communicate hiring and onboarding information to student employees and provide updates to professional staff </li></ul> <p>Finance:</p> <ul> <li>Generate monthly budget reports for each area of Well-Being & Recreation in the areas of Student Salaries, Reservations & Events, Memberships, Daily Sales, hiring, and Facility Maintenance </li><li>Complete special annual reporting projects for areas of Well-Being & Recreation as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A positive attitude and a strong work ethic </li><li>Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail </li><li>Dependable and able to work independently </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel </li><li>Current Ohio University - Athens student in good standing with the University </li><li>Ability to work during summer 2025 </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ohio University Freshman or Sophomore Business student studying Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, MIS or Human Resources </li></ul> <p>Department CR Business Operations Pay Rate</p> <p>$12.70/hour</p> <p>Posting Open Date 03/03/2025 Posting End Date 03/23/2025 Job Category Student Hourly Planning Unit Vice President for Student Affairs Work Schedule Campus Athens Applicants may contact this person if they have questions about this position.
