The Procurement Analyst at Rhoads Industries plays a critical part in supporting and advancing Rhoads Industries' procurement function by leading complex data analysis, tracking supplier performance, and driving strategic sourcing initiatives. It requires a high level of expertise in purchasing data analysis, market research, and supplier management to generate insights that enhance procurement strategies, streamline processes, and achieve cost savings. The position involves working with large data sets to inform decision-making and support organizational procurement goals. On-site presence at Rhoads headquarters may be required.</p> <p>What You Will Be Doing</p> <ul> <li> <p>Data Analysis and Reporting:</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for process improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and present regular reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and inventory levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate data insights effectively to stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Supplier Performance Monitoring:</p> </li><li> <p>Track and evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics such as delivery times, quality, and pricing.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide recommendations for supplier improvements or changes based on performance data.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the development of supplier scorecards and performance reviews.</p> </li><li> <p>Procurement Process Optimization:</p> </li><li> <p>Review and assess current procurement processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies or gaps.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the purchasing team to implement process improvements and best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Cost Analysis and Financial Analysis:</p> </li><li> <p>Perform cost analysis to assess the financial impact of purchasing decisions and identify potential savings.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the evaluation of cost-benefit analyses for procurement projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support for budgeting and forecasting related to procurement activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Market Research and Competitive Benchmarking:</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct market research to gather information on industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Benchmark supplier performance and procurement practices against industry standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide insights and recommendations based on market research and competitive analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Support for Contract Management:</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the review and analysis of supplier contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with company needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Track contract performance and help address any issues related to contract execution.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration and Communication:</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with the purchasing team, finance department, and other internal stakeholders to support procurement objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors to resolve issues and gather necessary information.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in cross-functional teams and meetings as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Documentation and Record-Keeping:</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate and organized records of procurement activities, supplier information, and purchase orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that all documentation is complete and up to date for auditing and compliance purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Additional Duties as Assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Your Background</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Economics, or business related field. </li><li>Relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred </li><li>Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or a related analytical role </li><li>U.S. Citizenship required. </li><li>Strong negotiation and analytical skills. </li><li>Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization tools). </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data. </li><li>Ability to learn procurement software and inventory management systems. </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. </li><li>Ability to communicate requirements in an industrial environment and to give effective direction by using written and/or verbal skills where appropriate. </li><li>Excellent customer service and client communication skills. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. </li><li>Ability to acquire and maintain appropriate Government security clearance required. </li></ul> <p>The Work Environment at Rhoads</p> <ul> <li>The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required </li><li>Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile </li></ul> <p>What Rhoads Can Offer You</p> <p>At Rhoads Industries, our team is the foundation of our success.
