<p>Kforce's client is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with a strong background in the utilities industry to support large-scale transformation and system initiatives. This role will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive requirements, support system enhancements, and ensure high-quality delivery across billing and customer-facing platforms. While experience with Customer Information Systems (CIS), including Customer/1 (C1) billing, is beneficial, it is not required. A strong foundation in utility operations is essential.</p> <p>Roles & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements aligned to utility operations and system capabilities </li><li>Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and delivery outcomes </li><li>Support initiatives across meter-to-cash processes, including billing, rates, and customer data management </li><li>Collaborate with development and architecture teams to implement enhancements across billing and related systems </li><li>Analyze operational and billing data, generate insights, and support decision-making through reporting and data validation </li><li>Prepare test plans, review test results, and develop reports and metrics to track progress and quality across all phases </li><li>Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system or billing discrepancies to ensure business continuity </li><li>Maintain detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and system changes, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards* 4-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in utility, energy, or CIS-related projects </li><li>Strong understanding of utility operations, including meter-to-cash, billing, rates, and customer data management </li><li>Experience with requirements gathering, business process mapping, and stakeholder engagement </li><li>Proven ability to work in Agile or hybrid delivery environments </li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have:</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to Customer Information Systems (CIS), including Customer/1 (C1) billing </li><li>Experience with tools such as JIRA, Xray, or DBeaver </li><li>Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation </li><li>Experience supporting data migration, system modernization, or automation initiatives </li><li>Background working with large system integrators or enterprise utility clients </li></ul>
