<p>Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools by performing the following duties:</p> <p>Responsibility</p> <p>Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.</p> <p>Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.</p> <p>Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.</p> <p>Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts.</p> <p>Modifies programming of robots and related equipment such as robot controllers and programmable controllers.</p> <p>Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.</p> <p>Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.</p> <p>Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.</p> <p>Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.</p> <p>Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.</p> <p>Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.</p> <p>Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.</p> <p>Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.</p> <p>Maintains time and production records.</p> <p>Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.</p> <p>Performs activities of workers supervised.</p> <p>Academic/Educational Requirements</p> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</p> <p>Associates or Technical School Degree or combination of work/education.</p> <p>Required Skills/Experience</p> <p>At least five (5) years' experience in manufacturing maintenance with progressive responsibilities.</p> <p>Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred.</p> <p>Considerable knowledge of standard methods, principles, practices, tools, and equipment of the maintenance trades.</p> <p>Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact and communicate at all levels of organization.</p> <p>Considerable knowledge of electric motors, generators, pumps, pressure systems, water system, HVAC and other equipment and systems of the maintenance trades.</p> <p>Ability to plan and design projects, work from sketches, blueprints, and manuals.,</p> <p>Considerable knowledge of the principles of mechanical equipment design and fabrication. r.</p> <p>Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
