<p>Responsible for all aspects of managing and overseeing Belt Furnace, Braze Assembly, Coating, Fuel Cell and ensuring that quality, productivity, safety and delivery requirements are met and in a safe manner. Monitor and, at times, schedule all production in these departments to maximize efficiency and to best satisfy the customer's needs.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and manage work centers referenced above and help support the plant's goals and metrics. </li><li>Ensure that production, quality, productivity, and delivery requirements are met and at goal. </li><li>Review and alter production schedules as required; determine which jobs receive priority. </li><li>Halt or make corrections when non-conforming work appears. </li><li>Communicate any extra labor needs to the Operations Manager. </li><li>Order supplies and castings as needed </li><li>Perform monthly casting inventory </li><li>Make sure fused samples are taken to the QC lab, coordinate testing needs and priorities with quality. </li><li>Go into the Customer Demand system to update the CC42 production and shipping schedules. </li><li>Communicate with Engineers regarding solutions to problems and business opportunities. </li><li>Communicate regularly with customers to ensure that turnaround schedules are met. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers. </li><li>Examine work as it enters the plant to identify potential problem jobs and develop a plan to resolve the issues. </li><li>Coordinate with development engineers on any developmental issues, quality issues and continuous improvement ideas. </li><li>Work with Sales Team and Quoting on Requests for Quotes. </li><li>Conduct performance evaluations, new hire assessments and team member counseling as required. Ensure that production team members understand their work responsibilities and carry them out. Develop and improve training programs for the continuous development of personnel in your Area of Responsibility (AOR). </li><li>Monitor and evaluate turnaround issues with the appropriate personnel. </li><li>Coordinate with maintenance to schedule equipment down time for maintenance shutdowns and preventative maintenance. </li><li>Follow-up on nonconforming product (items in the suspect hold system). Determine the root cause and follow-up with corrective measures. </li><li>Ensure and enforce all company polices and mandates in your AOR. </li><li>Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner. Assist in the investigation of all injury and near-miss incidents for your AOR. Establish and maintain strong safety awareness among all production personnel. </li><li>Champion and lead the 5-S initiatives. </li><li>Update and champion daily LDMS metrics and meetings. </li><li>Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for department. </li><li>Responsible for encouraging and maintaining team member engagement with the goal of helping Paulo improve. </li></ul>
