Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and limited weekends.</p> <p>LOCATION: Lakeshore College - Cleveland, Wisconsin</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: This position serves as the primary contact for dual-enrolled students to assist in the development and delivery of services in academic support, academic counseling, and career exploration. Responsible for building and sustaining relationships with Lakeshore district high schools, specifically with students taking Lakeshore dual credit classes to support academic success. Responsible for case management and support of students by building relationships, maintaining contact, and transitioning students into Lakeshore programs or external transfer. Provide assessment and guidance to students through career development activities and work collaboratively with high school partners (school counselors, career liaisons, transition coordinators, etc.), Lakeshore faculty, Academic Counseling, and Academic Success staff to identify and address barriers impeding completion to improve student performance through target interventions. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction. Dual Credit Student Advisement & Relationship Management</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance and counsel to students designed to assist them in making decisions associated with their academic and/or career goals using a variety of resources appropriate to the student's needs. </li><li>Conduct one-on-one or group advising sessions with students to address academic and personal concerns, create action plans for student success, and maintain relevant records of student profiles and progress. </li><li>Assist students with course selection, registration, and academic and career-goal planning. </li><li>Maintain and process student information related to academic plans and progress, course placement, and student support; document relevant notes to maintain a holistic student experience. </li><li>Utilize available technology to monitor the academic progress of students toward degree and/or certificate completion. </li><li>Proactively collaborate with college-wide departments, faculty, tutors, and academic support staff to advocate, identify, and meet the academic needs of dual credit students. </li><li>Provide effective student coaching, specifically in the areas of guiding students with career advising and guided pathways, transfer information, goal setting, time management, self-advocacy, and study skills. </li><li>Guide students through the application submission process. </li><li>Provide consistent outreach throughout the duration of the students' dual enrollment with Lakeshore. </li><li>Advise students regarding the transferability of courses to and from Lakeshore College. </li><li>Resolve student questions or concerns on academic policies, procedures, and standards. </li><li>Respond to student concerns/problems by advising or referring students to appropriate resources. </li><li>Provide information to students regarding occupational training programs and the admissions process, program requirements, and other Lakeshore services. </li></ul> <p>(10%) Student Retention & Student Support Services</p> <ul> <li>Utilize student information software to input and maintain student records. </li><li>Build and maintain positive relationships with district high school partners including counselors, career coaches, and instructors. </li><li>Collaborate with high school, CESA, and Youth Apprentice partners to schedule consistent high school visits to recruit and support prospective and current dual credit students. </li><li>Complete activity reports for retention, tracking, and accountability purposes. </li><li>Gather and communicate new opportunities for dual enrollment courses to the Recruitment and K12 Pathways Manager. </li><li>Contribute opportunities for improvement ideas to the Recruitment and K12 Pathways Manager. </li><li>Assist with retention activities in support of the College and its enrollment management goals. </li><li>Assist in the development and distribution of recruitment programs, materials, and new student orientation. </li></ul> <p>(10%) Enrollment Team Support</p> <ul> <li>Represent the college at business visits, college fairs, and community events to promote the college and attract prospective students, which may include some required evenings and weekends. </li><li>Serve on planning teams to offer high-impact recruitment events which include planning, logistics, and execution, ensuring seamless delivery and achieving strategic goals. </li><li>Build and maintain relationships with Lakeshore stakeholders such as community organizations, and businesses to advocate for and promote Lakeshore programs, courses, and services. </li><li>Provide input towards the development and implementation of new services and processes in response to student needs and trends. </li><li>Keep the Recruitment and Dual Credit teams informed of processes, obstacles, or concerns that impact performance. </li><li>Provide backup staffing coverage for the Recruitment and Academic Counseling team, which may include business and industry visits and stakeholder and student support such as lead and application assistance, registration, student success, and transition services. </li><li>Provide evening coverage and walk-in support in the Recruitment and Dual Credit office. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related discipline is required. </li><li>Three to five years of relevant occupational experience required. </li><li>Two to three years of relevant occupational experience in higher education advising, recruitment, or enrollment preferred. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:</p> <ul> <li>Certification in facilitating career development preferred. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Lakeshore's mission, vision, and strategic direction. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of the scope and nature of programs and courses offered by the college. </li><li>Strong knowledge of careers, opportunities post-completion, and outcomes for all programs. </li><li>Working knowledge of college enrollment management tools and financial aid processes. </li><li>Knowledge of data processing for input and retrieval of data as related to a student information system and other software environments. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS</p> <ul>
