This position will assist the Branch Manager / Branch Operations Manager, and other branch associates as needed. Responsibilities will also include maintenance of inventory, receipt, shipment of goods, telephone encounters and other duties as assigned.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Accurately prepare orders by pulling material from stock. </li><li>Participates in the shipping of company goods to various customers. </li><li>Verifies accuracy of shipments. </li><li>Processes paperwork and signatures of shipments. </li><li>Operates forklift, and tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner. </li><li>Pulls orders via pick ticket and handles pick ticket process. </li><li>Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and preparing for transport. </li><li>Participates in physical inventory for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying gains/losses. </li><li>Cleans warehouse for the purpose of safe and sanitary workplace. </li><li>Accurately perform order entry process, to include product, quantity and price verification </li><li>Confirm orders placed by customers via phone/fax/internet. </li><li>Perform stock and price checks for customers and other branches. </li><li>Provide freight/shipment information (cost/tracking/etc) to customers/branches in a timely and accurate manner. </li><li>Apply freight and handling expenses to orders so as to be able to effectively invoice customers for related expenses. </li><li>Regularly follow up with customers as to the status of their order(s). </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>At least two years of inventory handling and experience. </li><li>Ability to perform and understand basic math and written procedures. </li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills. </li><li>Basic computer literacy. </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines and schedules with little supervision. </li><li>Forklift experience is a plus. </li><li>Warehouse experience is a plus. </li><li>Flooring or tile industry experience is a plus. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li><li>Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds on a regular basis. </li></ul> <p>Florida Tile provides an array of benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
