<p>Position Overview</p> <p>Power your future with Qualus in our Construction Management department as an Outage Planner/Coordinator! The Outage Planner/Coordinator is responsible for outage planning and coordination across the full lifecycle, including alignment with project schedules, constructability reviews, and coordination with Transmission Maintenance, Operations, Control Centers (CONVEX/ESCC), SOC, Vegetation Management, generators, and other stakeholders as needed.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>The role should include active involvement in outage planning and coordination across the full lifecycle, including alignment with project schedules, constructability reviews, and coordination with Transmission Maintenance, Operations, Control Centers (CONVEX/ESCC), SOC, Vegetation Management, generators, and other stakeholders as needed. </li><li>Outage Coordinators should support and, where qualified, directly create and submit outage requests in iTOA and DCR, contingent on completion of required training and demonstrated understanding of switching and tagging procedures. </li><li>The position should acknowledge accountability for outage submission timelines and governance requirements, including adherence to established deadlines (e.g., T-18, T-90, T-43, T-9), awareness of KPI impacts for late or non-compliant submissions, and participation in escalation and approval processes when required. </li><li>Responsibilities should include ongoing management of outage status, tracking reviews and approvals, addressing CONVEX or Control Room comments, and working with project teams to resolve issues to avoid delays or auto-denials. </li><li>The role should include coordination with CONVEX and external system operators (e.g., ISO-NE) for outage studies, approvals, and resolution of system or generator impacts. </li><li>Continued participation in monthly outage coordination meetings, SCLL reviews, and post-outage closeout notifications should remain part of the scope. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with electric utility outage planning and coordination </li><li>Strong understanding of the outage and clearance process </li><li>Familiarity with the field construction process associated with electric utility assets for transmission, substations or distribution </li><li>Strong understanding of utility construction safety requirements </li></ul> <p>LI-JS1</p> <p>Benefits & Compensation</p> <p>Qualus benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays, for those who qualify.</p> <p>The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
