<p>Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life. Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, 50-meter swimming pool, and training pool.</p> <p>The West Boise YMCA is currently seeking a qualified Aquatics Director. This position is responsible for administering the total operation of the department within Branch and Association parameters, overseeing the safe management of programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, and financial development within the department.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with Aquatics staff to ensure program area operations are consistent with approved Leading Practices. </li><li>Supervise Aquatics staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, coaching, scheduling, certification management, and on-going development. </li><li>Recruits and manages volunteers as needed per current Volunteer Policies and Guidelines. </li><li>Expand existing programs and establish new programs and activities in accordance with strategic and operating plans. </li><li>Develop and ensure that Lifeguards are trained and ready to serve as First Responders for assigned areas. </li><li>Respond to member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. </li><li>Develop and monitor program budget to meet fiscal objectives. </li><li>Manage all aspects of programming to ensure budget, quality and safety expectations are met. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in recreation or sports management, or equivalent experience. </li><li>Minimum three years of experience in related field. </li><li>Must be able to differentiate between colors (red, yellow, blue and green). </li><li>Excellent human relations skills and an ability to maintain position communication with staff and members. </li><li>Ability to address and make solid decision in emergency situations. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette and computer use. </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>This is a full-time position working 40 hours weekly. Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.
