<p>Safety sensitive position responsible for maintaining buildings and equipment for all city owned properties, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.  </p> <p>Starting pay $24.1372/hr.  Provided benefits include but are not limited to, health insurance, group life insurance, wellness program, and CERS retirement through Kentucky Retirement Systems.  Paid time off includes vacation, sick time, and holidays.</p> <p>Primary essential functions include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Responds to work orders </li><li>Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities </li><li>Opens, closes and maintains public swimming pools </li><li>Opens, closes and maintains public restrooms </li><li>Performs various plumbing duties as assigned </li><li>Performs facility inspections for planning and budgeting </li><li>Oversees contracted work for construction and repair </li><li>Requests written estimates for repairs or new construction </li><li>Utilizes various facilities software programs </li><li>Assists in division budget preparation </li><li>Carries out special projects as directed. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS (Required at time of application):</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree in Maintenance or other job-related field, OR </li><li>Minimum 2 yrs. work-related experience as Maintenance Specialist or similar position (e.g., welding carpentry, plumbing, electrical) </li><li>Valid driver's license </li></ul> <p>Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable.</p> <p>Valid CDL, Class B or higher required within 11 months of employment.</p> <p>Successful completion of Confined Space, First Aid, and CPR certification, and required safety programs, as soon as possible upon employment and no later than 11 months after hire.</p> <p>TO APPLY:</p> <p>Applications must be received no later than Saturday, March 29, 2025.
