Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates,</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Perform autopsies following safety procedures. Maintains the morgue work-space, inventory of</p> <p>supplies and instruments, and assures a continuous state of inspection readiness. Performs all</p> <p>duties of the Histology Aide 3.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Performs all responsibilities of the Histology Aide 3.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists pathologist and Residents with autopsies (full, limited, brains, special circumstances</p> </li></ol> <p>such as highly infectious and Creutzfeldt Jacob Disease following procedures and safety.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Maintains the morgue work-space, observing sanitary standards and appropriate hygiene. </li></ol> <p>Cleans floors, shelves and table.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Maintains inventory of supplies and instruments required to perform all autopsies, and orders </li></ol> <p>as needed.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Assures a continuous state of inspection readiness for CAP, State, and OSHA inspections. </li></ol> <p>Assists in updates to procedures manual.</p> <ol start="6"> <li>Performs maintenance, set-up, and cleaning of striker bone saw and instruments. Operates </li></ol> <p>formalin recycler.</p> <ol start="7"> <li>Releases bodies to funeral directors or state medical examiner's office. Disposes of tissue and </li></ol> <p>organs on scheduled basis.</p> <ol start="8"> <li> <p>Trains new Pathology residents and Histology aides.</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Foundational Values (Personal, Imaginative, Agile,</p> </li></ol> <p>Connected).</p> <ol start="11"> <li>Performs other duties as required. </li></ol> <p>Other information:</p> <p>Required: High School Diploma</p> <p>Minimum Experience: three years</p> <p>Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical strength.
