<p>The Senior Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for selling groups with guestroom and events. This position requires an expert in building and maintaining long term relationships with their assigned market, identifying, selling and converting opportunities.</p> <p>This candidate will work with customers to align their preferences with brand needs and actively qualify each business opportunity to maximize revenues and drive customer loyalty. Both prospecting for new accounts and current account development is necessary for this role. The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue by proving thoughtful proposals to inquiries, negotiating contractual terms, developing and executing a SMART plan, hosting hotel tours, networking, client entertainment, organizing and attending client events, tradeshows and meeting with clients to discuss the needs/details of the event.</p> <p>This position is responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. The Senior Sales Manager will process business correspondence and create contracts and other related booking documentation as required. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills. A self-starter, strategic mindset and dynamic thinker is necessary.</p> <p>Pay Salary Range: $70,000-$106,000</p> <p>Responsibilities & Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting hotel tours, solicits and generates business. </li><li>Preparing and presenting effective and detailed proposals and or presentations, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. </li><li>Participate and may lead sales and event meetings and other staff meetings. </li><li>Organize and participate in client entertainment/FAM's, special promotions, tours, tradeshows/conferences. </li><li>Assist in creating and implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments. </li><li>Maximize sales occupancy and rates in conjunction with hotel operations to increase profits. </li><li>Prospect new business using a wide variety of sales methods, including but not limited to phone calls, outside sales calls, attending tradeshow and conferences, and active participation within the industry to strengthen and expand customer base and brand awareness. </li><li>Maximize sales occupancy and rates in conjunction with hotel operations to increase profits by increasing group room sales. </li><li>Establish and build successful relationships that generate sales opportunities. </li><li>Effectively communicate client requirements, ensuring all information is accurate between client and hotel. </li><li>Ensures business is turned over accurately and in a timely manner to ensure high-level service delivery. </li><li>Analyze and conduct market research to fully understand competitive set, market conditions, and current trends to maximize revenue and hotel's market position. </li><li>Negotiate, prepare and execute contracts that meet the hotel's business plan objectives. </li><li>Problem solve and develop solutions to meet client's important requirements/needs. </li><li>Maintain or exceed sales goals as assigned by DOSM. </li></ul>
